Script Club: True West In-Person
Join us for our newest book club, in partnership with Telluride Theatre: SCRIPT CLUB! This quarterly series will explore contemporary classics & modern-day scripts. We will discuss the historic, literary & performative nature of these plays and films.
This month, we'll be reading True West by Sam Shepherd. There are some editions (physical & ebooks) available for check-out through the library or you can contact Kevin Douglas at Telluride Theatre for a pdf (electronic or physical print) of the script: KEVIN@TELLURIDETHEATRE.ORG
Please read the play before our meeting! We will discuss the text, watch clips from famous productions/adaptations, and maybe even read some scenes aloud. (No pressure if you’re feeling shy!).
At the end of each meeting, we will decide as a group what script we’ll read next. Join us for our first meeting on September 9! We will have snacks!
The next ones are scheduled for 1/13 and 5/12 in 2026!
