Erin's bio

After a corporate career, Erin moved from Boston to Leadville in 2019, drawn to the energy of the mountains, small-town charm, and sunny winters. She dove into local causes like revitalizing the historic Tabor Opera House to deliver arts and culture to a rural community. In 2024, she and her partner moved to Rico to pursue life in the magical San Juan Mountains.

Living simply and becoming more deeply attuned to the natural world catalyzed many life changes for Erin, including the study of sound healing with Himalayan singing bowls. These elemental, multi-tonal instruments tell a story of the ages. An alloy of gold, silver, iron, mercury, tin, copper, and lead, the bowls Erin plays were hand-hammered by artisans in Nepal who are working to revitalize an ancient craft, and chant while creating each piece, infusing it with compassionate intention. As the bowls are played, their vibrations create patterns in the water in our bodies, helping us ease into a state of calm and peace, and let go of the stress and worry we sometimes embody.

Erin loves playing the singing bowls for friends and neighbors, her partner, and their lovely rescue cats, whose anxiety has considerably lessened through the healing medium of sound.
